Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReadFIT ("we", "us", or "our"), a language-learning service that helps you learn German by reading content you care about, available on the web and as a mobile app.

By creating an account or using ReadFIT, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility & accounts

ReadFIT is intended for general audiences and is not meant for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Please provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

Using the service

You agree to use ReadFIT only for lawful, personal, non-commercial learning. You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute content generated or provided by ReadFIT;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
• misuse generation or other features to produce unlawful, harmful, or abusive content; or
• circumvent usage limits, quotas, or access controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or other users.

Subscriptions & payments

ReadFIT offers a free tier and an optional paid premium subscription. Premium features, pricing, and any free-trial terms are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple under their terms; web subscriptions are billed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can manage or cancel them through your app store account or account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Content & intellectual property

The ReadFIT name, app, design, and the learning content we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own language learning. Stories and exercises may be generated with the help of automated systems and are provided for educational purposes; they may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

ReadFIT is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular learning outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Privacy

Your use of ReadFIT is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we may notify you in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of ReadFIT after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
